We are pleased to present you these Japanese style katana based on WKC Solingen Germany's tradition of offering excellent quality at reasonable prices.

The company WKC, formerly Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Cie, based in Solingen, is the oldest and largest sword manufacturer in Germany. The company was created in 1883 as union of the companies Weyersberg and Kirschbaum. The knight helmet was registered already in the year 1854 and is to today our registered trade mark.

Our knowledge about working with raw materials like steel, iron, brass and wood, as well as the knowledge about forging, heat-treatment, grinding, polishing, casting and assembly, have been fully used develop wonderfully designed KATANA on highest technical level.

An ongoing, continuous development is our aim to provide you with the latest technology and best design. We combine the traditional manual skill with modern techniques.

WKC brings a new Katana, based on the forging technique of Makuri. The blade is made up of a soft steel inside (shingane) coated with a hard steel (kawagane) with higher percentage of carbon. The material is called tama-hagane.
